High School Ministry

Our High School Ministry exists to reach out to the community with the love of Christ, praise God who created us, connect youth to their family in Christ, inspire growth in our walk with Christ, and serve God’s kingdom.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have two specific times when we meet:

  • Wednesdays from 6:25 PM to 8:30 PM at the Youth Center (Live stream available for those who have registered their emails with us)
  • Sunday nights for off-site Bible studies at 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM.

We meet in the Youth Center and then walk over to our intergenerational service from 6:30 PM to about 6:45 PM (this does not occur over the summer) and then we play games together followed by a group message and finish with small group (3-7 people) time. We also have teen led worship night every other month. It is a time to grow in faith together.

We do have an annual Summer Trip open to those exiting 8th grade all the way through exiting their senior year of High School. In 2021 we will be serving Burmese refugee children in Albion, IN. In 2022, we will be attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering. In 2023, we will be attending a Group Workcamp. We hope you can join us.  We are always looking for youth participants as well as adult leaders for the trip.

At Cross, we do not confirm groups at the end of May. We believe that High School is an excellent time to be confirmed but we leave that decision up to the family. When your youth feel they are ready to be confirmed and celebrate their faith in Christ, they may set up an appointment with one of the pastors and begin heading in that direction.

For more information please see our “Confirmation” page.

Yes! We are always looking for parents to do behind-the-scenes work and adult leaders to support our team.
