Sunday Morning Ministry

Cross Kids

All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Isaiah 54:13

Cross Kids will meet over the summer as a family program. Kids and their parents are invited to participate in family activities on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month to coincide with our outdoor worship services. These will take place at 9:15 AM. Children who attend must be accompanied by a parent or other trusted adult.

Regular programming will resume Sunday, September 12.

Our Sunday Morning Ministry is called Cross Kids. We offer both a preschool program as well as an elementary program for kindergarten through 4th grade. Both of these programs are designed to meet the needs of families by equipping parents to have faith conversations in the home. Our program also provides children with an additional adult mentor besides mom and dad who can help guide these youngest disciples of Christ.

Each month we explore Bible stories related around a common theme and learn what they mean for our lives. We do this through engaging storytelling, large group games and worship songs, and small group activities and discussions. All of these seek to help parents as they lead their children to Walk with God, Grow in Faith Together, and Love Our Neighbors.

Cross Kids Preschool is preschoolers at least 3 years old and potty trained. They meet in the preschool wing of our school.

Cross Kids Elementary is for children in kindergarten through 4th grade. They meet in the Small Gym.

Both programs meet from 9-10 AM every Sunday.

Elementary school is when children begin to own their faith and want to become involved. Children’s Ministry strives to help parents continue to strengthen and grow their children’s faith. As a parent, you will receive:

  • Weekly updates through our Parent Cue Cards that tell the week’s Bible story, memory verse and bottom line
  • Tips for how to keep your children engaged in their faith throughout the week
  • Opportunities to join your child at family oriented activities.
