Weekly Worship Service Times:

• Saturday at 5:00 p.m. - in the sanctuary (Blended Service)
• Sunday at 7:50 a.m. - in the sanctuary (Traditional Lutheran Liturgical)
• Sunday, 9:15 a.m. - in the sanctuary (Blended Service)
• Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - in the gym (Contemporary)

Weekly Sunday Children & Adult Study Times:

• We have Sunday School for Pre-school (ages 3 & 4) and Promiseland (our program for kids K-4th Grade) available for your children during the 9:15 worship time. To get to registration, please enter through the main church entrance and then turn right going toward the chapel – then down the stairs on you right to register. Using this entrance and route weekly is needed to ensure your child(ren)’s proper registration and security. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. till 9:15. (See PromiselandPromiseland section for more information).
• Adult Bible Studies ask any of our helpful folks “wearing a green” in our lobbies to find about the current topics and locations.
• Cross Nursery

Our Worship Format:

Blended: A conglomerate of songs, hymns, and spiritual songs with a small praise team, an organist, and spoken responses for the given theme each week. The 5:00pm Saturday service and the Sunday 9:30 a.m. will be exactly the same.

Traditional: All across the U.S. Lutheran Church~Missouri Synod congregations use a set format (the liturgy) for worshipping. Cross follows that tradition using the Divine Service formats from Lutheran Worship.

Contemporary: At Cross we seek to speak the language of the culture in our geographic area. Although many would say it comes from the youth, the vast array of ages who watch any TV or use a computer or cell phone communicate in picture and text format. This service helps this culture deal with the issues of today in all aspects of our contemporary format of worship. We meet in a gym, the courts of praise, with a praise band leading us in modern songs.

Lord’s Supper: We commune together as Jesus asked his disciples to continue in at all the services on the weekends that contain the 1st, 3rd or 5th Sunday of the month. We want all people who will come to the Lord’s Supper to be prepared for this means of grace as those who are not prepared risk their very lives, as scripture says.

Promiseland Sunday School

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my
name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does
not welcome me but the one who sent me." Mark 9:37

Cross welcomes all children to Promiseland during the 9:15 worship time. Please come 15 minutes before the start of service to be sure your child gets properly checked in / registered. Let the children come and be a blessing to the teachers and the teachers to the children. Make it your child’s best hour all week. (NOTE: Please enter at Fellowship Hall/ Church Entrance)

In Promiseland, the Bible is creatively taught and expressed. The Bible’s truths are presented in relevant ways. It is a place where shepherding children is intentional. Kids are safe to be who they are, and ask questions. It is a place where discovering God’s truth is FUN!

9:00 - 9:15: Drop Off
9:15 – 9:30: Welcome
9:30 – 10:15: Activity
10:15 – 10:30: Gather in Small Gym
10:30: Pick up in the Small Gym area

K-4 PROMISELAND (for kids in grades K thru 4th):
9:00 - 9:15: Drop Off
9:15 – 9:30: Welcome/Activity
9:30 – 10:00: Large Group Time
10:00 – 10:30: Small Group Time
10:30: Pick up in Small Gym area

To register each week: For both PROMISELAND SESSIONS - come thru our main Sanctuary church/Fellowship Hall entrance. Turn right down the hall toward the Chapel – then right again down the stairs to the Promiseland registration area. (Questions - see one of our “green tagged” greeters for guidance). Snacks will be needed for the new session. You can volunteer at the registration table.

Cross Nursery

"Let the little children come to me,

The Nursery at Cross - serving children from birth to four years old and their parents.

The church nursery is open and staffed for all weekend services and on Wednesday Evenings for Wednesday Nights at Cross. The nursery ministry exists to serve and show God’s love to children from birth to age four and their parents. Parents with small children are encouraged to visit the nursery that is conveniently located to the left of the sanctuary as you enter the main doors to the church.
