Click for main web site The Big Day of Serving brings together youth groups and adults throughout our city for ONE DAY of service that will revolutionize an entire neighborhood! Coming to Kendall County September 15, 2012! When you think about The Big Day of Serving, picture this: a thousand teenagers from youth groups across the Midwest uniting to serve a neighborhood and community in need. Kendall County went from one of the fastest growing counties in the country to one of the highest foreclosure rates in Illinois. Participants will help and bring hope to people by working on projects like painting, home repairs, landscaping, building, cleaning and beautifying city parks, cleaning vacant lots, and cleaning schools and nursing homes. They'll be part of a new movement of Christian teens across the country whom are uniting to show what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. How do you get involved? It's simple.

Get Involved!The Big Day of Serving experience will provide youth groups and adults the chance to participate in a single day of service that will revolutionize entire communities.- Service: Participants in The Big Day of Serving will complete a variety of projects in a single day. The projects are selected by our local leadership team according to standards suggested by The Big Day of Serving. They may include painting, minor home repairs, landscaping, cleaning and beautifying city parks, cleaning vacant lots, painting and cleaning schools and nursing homes. All selected projects can be reasonably completed by the participants in a single day.
- Revolutionize a Neighborhood
: In order to accomplish this goal the size of the participant group will be very large. One thousand or more participants showing up for a single day of work. The work will be concentrated in Kendall County. Managing all the details for an event of this size will require as many as 100 or more members to be a part of our support team.- VOLUNTEER NOW: So would you like to be part of the support volunteer team? We need to secure 6 team leaders in the following areas. Click on each to see position description: Event Management Team, Hospitality Team, Public Relations Team, Funding Team, Volunteers Team, and the Projects Team. We have coordinator positions under each team leader and then volunteer teams under each coordinator. This is an amazing way to serve in our community and make a huge impact.
